California Dreamin’

It’s been about 10 months since TJ and I took a trip up Highway 1 in California last fall… I’ve been quite busy with big projects (coming soon). Better late than never! This is my favorite drive (that I have done so far), Los Angeles up to San Francisco along the coast.

First up, Los Angeles, in my favorite area, Venice. I actually have friends that live on the Venice canals and I couldn’t be more jealous.

For the calmer side of Venice Beach, visit on a weekday morning.

Miles and miles of coast line from LA to SF.

The Hearst Castle. I don’t even know what to say about it, other than I love it. Here, a view from the castle of San Simeon bay.

Mr. Hearst apparently loved the greek influence. Lots of statues and fountains. And below a shot of the amazing indoor pool, tiled entirely floor to ceiling.

We stayed the night at the world famous Madonna Inn. Our room was some sort of Swiss theme.

At the restaurant we had steak and a delicious cake while celebrating our second year anniversary. They also had a dance floor and a house band that played waltzes exclusively. I couldn’t have asked for more.

More miles of coast line… TJ takes in the vista.

BIG SUR. I LOVE BIG SUR.

We stayed at Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn, the stay was wonderful and the food was outstanding. No view of the coast unfortunately but its surrounded by redwoods, and to view the coast you just have to cross the street.

Me. Taking it all in.

Baby Love

I am not a baby photographer by trade, but I am more than excited to take on the challenge for a friend. I am always nervous to do it because I’m not used to working with babies, but in this case I got some really beautiful images that I am proud of. I particularly love this one because it looks somehow antique to me. This is Jordan Lucy!

In Motion – Berlin

Better late than NEVER. I had quite the busy year in 2013 and I am finally getting to catch up on some photos. Here is another “In Motion” set of images. I spent a few days in Berlin last spring and I loved it to pieces.
