Las Vegas

Here are some images from our trip to Las Vegas:

fountains outside the Bellagio

entrance to the Flamingo

slots (we played one dollar at every casino we went to,
won zero dollars)

New York New York Casino (I’ve never actually been this
close to the actual statue, sad I know)

more ungrateful slots

gawkers reflected on the pane of plexiglass that a lion was
sleeping on (does that make sense?) at the MGM

sex sells in Vegas, but not on Fridays

Circus Circus, best casino there, a true relic, very dusty and old

it just isn’t the US of A without the golden arches

downtown off of Freemont St.

the lucky ladies at the fine Mermaids establishment

more sex

and a cowgirl

yeeehaw!

Mariachi Academy of New York

Mariachi Academy of New York is a non-profit after school program in Harlem that teaches children to play and sing mariachi music. I have been working with them for a couple weeks and I hope to continue for a couple more to complete a multimedia project with sound. I really appreciate their efforts to help Mexican children in the area preserve an important part of their culture. Besides they all look really cute in their outfits.

Coney Island

Images from a multimedia piece on Coney Island. I hope one good thing comes from the recession and they don’t have the money to turn it into a disney land… booooo! Not everything has to be shiny, expensive and new in this city. Go build a new glass building somewhere else.
